  • Last week our members went on a master tour to the Shell Rheinland Refinery and BASF Ludwigshafen, which was a really impressive trip! With chemical plants everywhere you look, nice conversations and information about working in another country our students could really learn a lot.

  • Onze erepenningdrager en erelid prof. Schenck is vorige week langsgekomen om een lunchlezing te geven over "Moderne Natuurkunde en Wereldpolitiek tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog". Dit was een zeer interessante ervaring voor de studenten en enkele medewerkers van de faculteit en weer eens wat anders dan de standaard Scheikundige of Technologische vakken. 
    Ook al is hij al enige tijd met emeritaat, hij is en blijft een goede docent!

  • Heb jij interesse in de bachelor Molecular Science and Technology of een andere opleiding en wil je weten wat deze opleiding inhoudt? Of twijfel je tussen twee opleidingen? Kom dan naar de open dagen op vrijdag 8 en zaterdag 9 maart 2019. 

    Op de vrijdag zijn er drie rondes met onder andere een opleidingspresentatie, een mini-college, bachelor thesis presentatie en een Quiz. Daarnaast kan je met studenten praten op de infomarkt.   • This Tuesday we had a lunch lecture of ExxonMobil in cooperation with other study associations: S.V.N.B. Hooke and S.V. LIFE. It was a great success and Luuk gave a complete overview of the operative range of Exxon. Luuk has been working there for a little bit over a half year and could tell us a lot about the transition from just finishing your masters to working at a large company.

  • Last week we had a lecture from PM Group during the lunchbreak. After everybody grabbed their lunch the presentation started. It was a good informative lecture about what PM Group does and the potential it has for us students in the future. The presentation was given by Margaret Doran (Process Department Manager) and Jorrit Bleeker (Process Engineer). Jorrit just finished his Chemical Engineering masters at the TU Delft and could tell us a lot about how it is to work in Ireland.

  • Our members went on a trip to Tata Steel yesterday. We started with some coffee and a presentation about Tata Steel, then we got an interactive tour around the plant where we saw the processes ourselves or via a movie and we ended the day with some drinks with young trainees.

  • This Wednesday, 27 members of TG went to Amsterdam to visit Shell. During this trip there were several presentations shown: one about Shell in general, one about catalysis and one about new energy. Furthermore, we went to the labs and saw how Shell has her own glass blower. After a long day of interesting presentations and tours we went back home.

  • This summer members of TG went on a Foreign Excursion Tour to the United States and Canada. 
    This amazing trip consisted of company visits, university visits, a lot of sightseeing in the cities and discovering the astonishing nature!
    With 25 students and a few professors we discovered Boston, New York, Washington, Toronto, Montreal and Quebec. In advance they all solved cases for companies and learned a lot from this.
