About Fluor

Fluor is one of the largest publicly traded engineering companies in the world dealing with the design, construction and maintenance of mega projects for the petrochemical industry. We not only design and build new refineries, plastics plants and suchlike, but are also involved in optimization projects for existing facilities.

Fluor is proud to have been established for over 100 years, and has a global head count of 40,000 employees and a network of offices in more than 25 countries spread across 6 continents.

Fluor executes complex engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and maintenance projects for commercial and government Clients in remote and challenging locations around the world. Whether for new oil and gas facilities, power plants to meet global demand or the refurbishment of aging

We currently have 3 offices in the Netherlands near Amsterdam, Bergen op Zoom and Rotterdam housing a workforce of 1.000 employees. Fluor Amsterdam is mainly involved with international new Energy & Chemicals projects, whereas Bergen op Zoom and Rotterdam focus on existing projects in the local market, specifically in the Rotterdam and Antwerp port areas. Our Fluor Infrastructure employees are working on large infrastructure projects at several project locations in the Netherlands.

Our projects are large to mega-sized, and are worth several millions to billions of Euros. They are technically very complex, and each and every project is unique, and often deals with an international client, which adds to the challenge of the work.

We are proud to offer a number of schemes dedicated to graduates looking to work in an established, ever changing organization: internships for technical bachelors and technical / business management master students, job placements in our engineering disciplines for talented graduates and young professionals, an international summer internship for students of Chemical Engineering and a Business Management traineeship for future leadership.

We offer you exposure to real projects from day one, technical/non technical training programmes to develop and enhance your knowledge of our business, and opportunities to work alongside our leading engineers who have a wealth of industry experience.
