On the fifth of December we started with the traditional simultaneous chess led by Peter Hamersma which can be read in the previous post. After that we had ‘Sinterklaas’ drinks at the faculty bar Bar het Lab with Thomas Njoeng as Sinterklaas, where several interesting gifts were given. On Friday we went to the 150 years yeast exhibition of DSM at the old Gistbrocades headquarters. Here we had a fun and educational tour from ex commissioner of external affairs Cees Haringa. Tuesday it was time for the diesdinner. Just like last year it was at restaurant Het Vermeertje in Delft. With 39 members and 7 annual layers it was a very successful evening. In theme we went to a karting hall where we raced, fought and shot. Thursday we had the diesparty in the Bierfabriek, but that was not what the day was about. It was all about the yearbook reveal with Nuclear as theme! The Alcie deserve compliments for their phenomenal book. The yearbook can be collected at the TG Residence and is definitely worth the effort to browse through. As finishing touch we ended the dies with the reception where beside myself Michiel Kreutzer gave an inspiring and warm speech for the last time from his position here in Delft.
